About the IRC
The Information Resource Center
The Information Resource Center (IRC) serves Brazilian institutions, Embassy staff and researchers providing specialized, substantive, and accurate information about the United States, with emphasis on U.S. government policies and U.S.-Brazil bilateral relations.
Professionally trained librarians, using electronic and print materials, respond to
questions on:
Democracy
Economic Issues
Global Issues
Information and Communication
Political Security
U.S. Society, Values and Policies
At the moment, there are three IRCs in Brazil: Brasília, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Most IRC material is in English and services are provided via e-mail, fax, telefone and regular mail. Researchers may call (61) 3364-2431 for an appointment at the IRC in Brasília.
Students and general public interested in searching for general information about the U.S. could contact the Binational Centers Libraries around Brazil.
The Information Resource Center does not provide information about Brazil or about Visas. For information about Brazil, please access the Brazilian Embassy in the U.S. For information about visas, please access the Embassy of the United States.
